Meadow hay

The inclusion of hay and grazing in rations reduces the amount of concentrated fodder, which leads to cheaper livestock production. Meadow hay occupies a significant share in the feed of cattle, sheep and buffaloes, goats and rabbits. However, chemical composition and nutritional value vary considerably depending on the type of meadows, grass composition and fertilization. Meadow vegetation is composed of many species belonging to: cereals, legumes and grasses from other families.
